About The Teacher
I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and continue to be a raging Bills fan. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology. I received my elementary education license through UNC-C and completed my student teaching here at Myers Park Traditional in 1991. After working one year at Myers Park Traditional, my husband and I started a family and I stayed home to raise our three children. I came back 19 years ago, spending one year in Kindergarten and teaching first grade for the last 18. In the spring of 2008 I earned my Masters in Education from Queens University. My hobbies include reading, playing games, camping, traveling, and spending time with my husband, three children, and my extended family.
Mission For The Class -
Inspire and encourage through action and words.
I believe that every child can be successful. We (parents, children and teachers alike) are all important pieces in the puzzle of your child's success. I will do everything in my power to create an exciting and inviting classroom for your children to learn and appreciate the support and encouragement you give them at home.
